LAST CHANCE TO BOOK FOR LASSUS SCHOLARS' CHRISTMAS CONCERT

04 December 2017

The President and committee of the Queen’s University Association, Dublin (QUAD) are looking forward to welcoming members, graduates and their guests to the annual visit to the National Concert Hall for the Dublin Choral Foundation Lassus Scholars and Piccolo Lasso/ESB Great Christmas Concert.

The Concert in the National Concert Hall in Dublin is a hugely popular winter event. Led, as always, by Dr Ite O’Donovan, who has a Queen’s Master’s Degree in Renaissance Music (1986), it is also a very popular evening for members and guests of QUAD.

Taking place this year on Wednesday 13 December (starting at 8pm sharp), the ESB ‘Great’ Christmas Concert December 2017, features The Lassus Scholars, Piccolo Lasso, the Orlando Chamber Orchestra (leader Gillian Williams) and special guest soloist, Miriam Murphy, soprano. The concert will also include ESB Feis Ceoil prize-winners – David Tobin, violin and JJ McNamara, piano.

Included in the seasonal programme will be Beethoven Hallelujah Chorus from The Mount of Olives Haydn Gloria from Mariazeller-Messe, and Handel Hallelujah Chorus.

Dr O’Donovan has arranged a special ticket price (of €24.30 per person) for Association members in Row F of the Yellow Balcony. In order to secure a place, bookings must be accompanied by a cheque (made payable to QUAD) and received ASAP but not later than Wednesday 6th December.

While it is not possible for QUAD to process bookings received after 6 December, it maybe possible after that date to obtain tickets from the NCH box office, if available, at the standard price. Note that QUAD is unable to refund money to anyone who cancels after booking tickets.
