Dr Katie Wilson passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital after a 9-month battle with leukaemia.

Katie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.

She grew up on a farm in Ballydugan before attending medical school at Queen's University and marrying her beloved Billy in 1972. In 1975, Katie and Billy immigrated to Canada, first to Winnipeg, where their son Sam was born in 1976, and then settling in Chilliwack where their second son, Edward, was born in 1979.

As a doctor, Katie served Chilliwack and the surrounding communities for her professional life, first as a general practitioner until transitioning to a specialty in geriatrics, for which she had both a knack and a passion. Her dedication to her patients was an inspiration.
