2017

Awarded to Marcus Mackle, who is pursuing an MSc Business for Agri Food and Rural Enterprise. Marcus’ research will address rural development issues, elaborating on the specifics of agricultural approaches and the social phenomena farming these practices.

 

Awarded to Paul Loughran, who is pursuing an MA in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice. Paul will focus on the relationship between mental health problems and suicide in a post-conflict Northern Ireland and the political failure of Stormont.

Awarded to Alison Meagher, who is pursuing a PhD in Political History, focusing on the impact of diaspora groups on the formulation of United States foreign policy toward Northern Ireland during the Carter administration.

Awarded to Aoife Mitchell, who is pursuing her MSc on the subject of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the context of a Bilingual setting / IME setting

 

2013

Awarded to Ying Lian who is a second year PhD student in Civil Engineering. The subject of Miss Lian’s research is web crippling behaviour of cold-formed steel channel sections with web openings.

 

2012

Awarded to Myra Lydon, a first year postgraduate research student, studying for a PhD in the School of Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering. Ms Lydon gave a short presentation on her research project entitled:

‘Development of Bridge Weigh in Motion Systems using Advanced Structural Health Monitoring Sensor technology to extend bridge life and future sustainable infrastructure’.

 

2011

Awarded to Andrew Mikhael, a postgraduate research student studying for a PhD in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy. Mr Mikhael gave a short presentation on his work entitled:’ Consociation in Lebanon’.
