About this event

Join us from the Great Hall, Queen's University

Wednesday, 30 November 2022, 6pm

Don't miss this opportunity to share your views, at this exclusive alumni event, on the future of Queen’s and the Sustainable Development Goals the University is striving to achieve.

Filmed and streamed live from the Great Hall at Queen's, the discussion will be facilitated by Sarah Travers (BBC News NI). The expert panel will feature:

  • Professor John Barry (Professor of Green Political Economy at Queen's and Co-Chair of the Belfast Climate Commission)
  • Professor Michael Alcorn (Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Strategic Projects at Queen's)
  • Debbie Caldwell (Climate Commissioner for Belfast City Council, Co-Chair of the Belfast Climate Commission and Co-Chair of the Belfast Resilience and Sustainability Board)

Hosted by Queen's University Convocation, the event will see the panel discuss how organisations and individuals can respond to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, what this means in the wider context of the current cost of living crisis and what you, as a Queen’s graduate, can do.

Do not miss your opportunity to attend this very special event by booking your place today.

The panel event will be followed by the official business of the Annual Meeting of Convocation. The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for all graduates of Queen's to have a say on matters impacting the University and its people.

Visit the Queen's Convocation website to find out more about the business of Convocation, including how to raise motions for consideration at the Annual Meeting and how you can become a member of the Convocation Standing Committee.

Please note that the deadline for registering your attendance is Friday 25 November.
