Queen's University Association, Scotland (QUAS)
Purpose
QUAS, founded in 2003, brings together graduates and postgraduates living in Scotland through a series of stimulating and sociable events which are open to members, family and friends. These include annual lectures by eminent speakers and annual dinners or lunches. Professor Frank Kelly (Imperial College London and holder of the Humphrey Battcock Chair in Community Health and Policy) addressed the Association in 2022, and Professor Linda Bauld (Bruce and John Usher Professor of Public Health and Co-Head of the Centre for Population Health Sciences at the University of Edinburgh) is scheduled to speak at the annual lunch and lecture to be held on Friday 6th October 2023. The Association also hosts visits to places of interest in Glasgow, Edinburgh and elsewhere in Scotland, as well as attends events during the Edinburgh International Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Events organised by Trinity College Dublin Association Scotland are also open to members of QUAS.
