CHIEF EXECUTIVES' CLUB - CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF CONNECTIONS WITH LOCAL BUSINESS

29 August 2017

The Chief Executives’ Club at Queen’s (CEC) is a dynamic and prestigious forum that facilitates and supports high-level networking in Northern Ireland. Established in 1993 to strengthen links between higher education and the business community, the Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2018.

Offering high-level networking, access to national and international thought leaders and guest speakers, the Chief Executives’ Club is the key forum for business debate in Northern Ireland. Current membership includes leaders from a wide range of businesses, private, public, charity and social enterprise organisations along with successful entrepreneurs and representatives from higher education.

The Club hosts a range of high-calibre events each year, normally chaired by the Queen’s President and Vice-Chancellor, or by a Pro-Vice-Chancellor and usually at Riddel Hall, in the Great Hall in the Lanyon Building or elsewhere on the main University site.

Forthcoming events include:

  • 12 September – CEC Inaugural Leadership Lecture

Declan Kelly, Founder and CEO of Teneo Holdings (formerly US Economic Envoy to NI for then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton)

  •  25 September – Breakfast Lecture and Masterclass

Other speakers and events will include sports, business and industry leaders in partnership with a range of organisations such as the IOD, Women in Business and others.

Membership of the Chief Executives’ Club offers great opportunities to keep abreast of change, to participate in discussions of topical business issues, and to develop strategic links and new contacts, while offering access across the University to academic experts and their latest research.

In essence, the Club is an important gateway to connections, thought leadership, innovation and research at Queen's.

Membership is open to those at Chief Executive, Managing Director, Chairperson and/or senior Directors of an organisation level, and is available on an individual basis for £185 annually.
