CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER ROLE FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE ALUM

Yvonne McNamara, a 1995 Queen’s BSc Computer Science graduate, has been appointed Chief Operations Officer at Vistatec, which supports some of the world's most iconic brands to optimise their global commercial potential.

Headquartered in Dublin with offices in California, Vistatec is one of the world's leading localisation and content solutions providers.

As Chief Operations Manager Yvonne is responsible for the localisation project management team, quality assurance, supply chain management, testing, engineering, UA and desktop publishing services.

Having previously held positions with GeCAP and Lotus Development, Yvonne joined Vistatec as a Project Lead in Engineering when the company was founded in 1997. She moved into the Engineering Operations Manager role in 1999 – where she was second in command – before taking over as Engineering Services Manager in 2005, the same year that she joined the Vistatec Management Team.  

Since then, Yvonne has headed up the company's global operation teams with direct responsibility for strategic growth, team development and leading the way in the industry to exceed the company's customer goals.

Speaking to Queen’s University, Yvonne said: “I am delighted to be taking up the role of Chief Operations Officer at Vistatec. As we celebrate 20 years in business this is an exciting time to be embracing new challenges and is very much aligned to our growth plans for the future. I have the most amazing teams available to me. I'm a great believer in the power of technology combined with the intelligence, honesty, trust and a ‘can do' attitude that the Vistatec operations team is all about. My Computer Science degree has stood me in great stead throughout my career. I really enjoyed my years at Queen’s and the opportunities it gave me, and highly value the quality of education it provides for young people.”
